December also means a busy month of birthdays for our family. Dec. 6th, 12th, and 16th we take time out of our Christmas celebrations to celebrate Gary, Kim and Kinsley's birthdays.

Easton Gary Wilcox
It's a boy!!! Our new little addition arrived on October 25th at 1:38pm. He was a big boy weighing in at 9 lbs. 8 oz. and 20 inches long! Thank goodness for c-sections! We think he is a mix between Cayson and Daddy. Cayson was so happy it was a boy and said "my wish came true" when he found out the news. We are so crazy about him and have enjoyed the last few days at the hospital, but now we are excited to get him home and start our life as a family of 5. We are so grateful for my mom and sister who have been home for the last few days taking care of Cayson and Kinsley so we could spend some time with our baby #3. The last several months have flown by! Gary was on the trauma rotation for July and August which is one of the busiest rotations he will have over his 4 year residency. We were glad to get those months out of the way before Easton got here.
The weekend of August 19-21 we went to St. Joseph, MI and enjoyed a couple of days at the beach with the kids. Lake Michigan is beautiful and the beaches are like ocean beaches. Cayson loved going into the water and playing in the waves with his dad. He also liked getting buried in the sand and building a sand castle. Kinsley was afraid to put her feet in the sand and hung on to her dad for dear life every time he tried to set her down.
Gary's dad drew an antelope tag this year, so on August 30th Gary and Kinsley flew out to Reno for a week. Kinsley hung out with her Nana, Rammy, Aunties, Uncles, and Cousins while Gary went out hunting with his dad and buddies. Big Gary killed a nice antelope towards the beginning of their hunt which gave Gary time to visit with family and friends the rest of the week. Cayson and I stayed behind and had a great Mommy/Son week. We went to the movies, Chuck E. Cheese, bowling, shopping, dinners, out for ice cream every day, and then Uncle Cole drove up from Atlanta for the weekend and went with us to the museum and down to Newport on the Levee to Ride the Ducks which is a fun tour around the city. Cayson had a lot of fun with his Uncle Cole jumping on the trampoline and renting movies. Our last outing with only two kids was on October 15th when we drove down to Lexington, KY to visit old friends from dental school and go to the horse races! Fun times!
Here are the kids dressed up and ready to go trick or treating! They don't look too excited, but when they came back to the house with two bags full of candy there were smiles on their faces! The weekend of August 19-21 we went to St. Joseph, MI and enjoyed a couple of days at the beach with the kids. SUMMER IS HERE!!!
We are so happy that the long winter and two months of non-stop rain is over...but the hot muggy summer arrived a few days ago and now we are wondering what is worse? So much has happened in the last several months, but the biggest news is that Wilcox Baby #3 will be arriving the end of October and we are so excited! Cayson is convinced that he will have a new baby brother soon, but we decided to be surprised so we won't find out if he is right until the little bundle of joy gets here.
The end of January we went to Indianapolis for a couple of days. The 1st day we went to the Indy 500 Museum and loved looking at all the race cars. The next day we went to the world's biggest Children's Museum which was several different levels and had almost anything you could imagine, but of course we spent the majority of our time in the dinosaur area!
On January 31st, Gary killed a deer with his bow, just down the street from our house. We were happy to stock our freezer, and the meat was so good! I never thought I would love game meat so much...so I guess I will let him hunt again this year :-).
Cayson has such a funny personality on him! Luckily the dog is a good sport.
Cayson had so much fun dying eggs for Easter! Kinsley was more concerned with feeding her daddy...he is wrapped around her little finger!
I think Gary might have inherited some of his mom's green thumb. He has been wanting to plant a garden since last summer, and with Cayson's help he found some time to actually do it. I am so excited to eat fresh veggies from our 1st garden.
Cayson has been "patiently" waiting for the weather to warm up for about 6 months now so he could set-up his 1st lemonade stand. From one pitcher he made $6.25! Everyday since he has been begging me to make lemonade so he can try his luck again. Our neighborhood will be broke by the end of summer :-).
Cayson's fan club...Daddy was Cayson's 1st customer!
The kids having fun in their new pool.
Gary with his little "Daddy's Girl" walking around the Cincinnati Zoo.

Cayson is in heaven holding this snake!
On May 27th, Cayson graduated from his 1st year of pre-school. Mrs. Kim has been an awesome teacher and Cayson is excited to be in her pre-school class one more year starting in September.
Okay, I had to add this picture! Cayson definitely likes to play rough with his baby sister...but don't feel bad for her cause she gets him back every time!
Gary was on call most of Memorial weekend, but luckily we were able to find time for biking down the 5 Mile Trail and canoeing/fishing at East Fork Lake. Cayson was so excited to do both...and both were his ideas!

Happy New Year!
The last two months have been busy! Gary's mom came out to visit us for two weeks in November. She cooked an amazing Thanksgiving dinner and watched the kids so we could spend some much needed time together. We also went to a tree farm and cut a beautiful Christmas tree for our first Christmas in Cincinnati. It was so fun decorating our house for the holiday season.
Gary, Kim, and Kinsley's birthdays are in December, along with fun Christmas events and activities to keep us busy all month long! We had a birthday dinner for Kinsley's 1st birthday with a few friends that came over to eat and celebrate. We can't believe she is 1 already, and Cayson will be 4 on Jan. 13th! Time flys when you are having fun.
We had breakfast with Santa at Cayson's pre-school, and Cayson told Santa he wanted a Robot for Christmas. Santa delievered the goods and Cayson was super excited.
We had a great 2010 and we are excited about 2011!
Love,
Gary, Kim, Cayson, Kinsley, and Doc ;-)
